PBSSKA Best Karate Athletes for 2022-2023 announced

 

The list of the Best Karate Athletes of Seishinkai Purba Bardhaman District for the year 2022-2023 has been released, based on the points obtained in all types of recognised karate championships played by the players, in accordance with the Purba Bardhaman Seishinkai Shito-Ryu Karate Association Ranking Rules. This marks the first instance where PBSSKA has established a ranking system to determine the district's top karate players in a season.

An appreciation memento will be awarded to individuals who have achieved the highest points in their respective individual categories within a year.

The Best Karate Athletes of Seishinkai Purba Bardhaman District for the year 2022-2023 have been announced, recognising the excellence, perseverance, and remarkable triumphs of the most successful and consistent Karatekas during the season, which spanned from July 1, 2022, to June 30, 2023.

The Best Karate Athletes are as follows:

- Female Kata: Sreyasi Ghosh
- Male Kata: Anjanava Sadhu
- Female Kumite: Ishani Gupta
- Male Kumite: Dhrubajit Dutta

(considering all age groups)

Rules for Selection:

1. The total points obtained in specific time period  are considered to select the Best Karate Athletes.

2. In cases of a tie between competitors with the same total points, the following criteria are applied in order:
   a. Sum of ranking points in the mentioned period (no decay applied)
   b. Highest Level of Official Tournament Medalists/Participation in the mentioned period

Purba Bardhaman Seishinkai Shito-Ryu Karate Association is affiliated with the All India Seishinkai Shito-Ryu Karate-Do Federation and Bardhaman Karate-Do Association.

Seishinkai Tournaments:

Open/Invitational/Style Tournaments:
- District/State: 3-2-1
- National/International (in WB): 4-3-2
